Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce launches Business Assistance Center
The Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce has a new Business Assistance Center (BAC). It is available to small businesses of 5 or fewer employees or individuals looking to start a small business. The BAC focuses on micro-business enterprises, and features one-on-one counseling, training classes on business concepts and best practices, and networking opportunities.
The program also provides business incubation space for those who meet certain guidelines. The BAC is funded through a Community Development Block Grant administered through the City of Dallas. The services are free, and the primary target is low to moderate income individuals and/or companies operating in the city of Dallas. For more information, contact Coletta Strickland at 214-421-5200; or visit the Chamber’s website at www.dbcc.org.
