Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence
You are cordially invited to attend the 32nd Annual Quest for Success Awards presented by the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce and Chase Bank. The event will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Friday, February 12, 2016. Please join us at the Chairman’s VIP/Alumni Reception at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Awards Luncheon/Presentation at 12 noon.
The Quest for Success Award recognizes African American entrepreneurs in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area by honoring their significant contributions to the business and civic communities.These outstanding and committed honorees are selected for their leadership, dedication to the community, and business achievements. Recipients will be saluted at the awards luncheon with a video presentation documenting their successes.
This year’s Quest program will begin with a business workshop for “A Legacy of Excellence” designed for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. The program culminates with the 32nd Quest for Success Awards luncheon hosted by John McCaa of WFAA Channel 8.
Workshop 1 – "TELLING YOU BUSINESS STORY"
9 a.m. – Step by step marketing and branding insight to grow your business. Professional communicators and marketing specialist will help you discover your brand for business excellence, teach tips on how to develop a marketing plan for your company, and will challenge you to develop your own personal road map for success.

Workshop 2 - “MINDING YOUR BUSINESS”
10 a.m. This workshop is an interactive session on the diverse service offerings available through the Dallas Metropolitan Small Business Development Center (DM SBDC). The session content is geared toward both the existing business owner as well as the aspiring entrepreneur. The session discussion provides “real” business challenges from today’s small business environment and how the Business Advisors in the DM SBDC can assist you and your business in addressing these challenges.
The workshop will explore case studies in: Start-Up Ventures; Small Business Marketing, Business Growth and Expansion; and Owner Exit Considerations.
Today’s workshop session is presented by two of the Dallas SBDC Business Advisors, Dennis McIntosh and Mark Christie, who are both past business owners, entrepreneurs, and recognized in the Dallas community as small business mentors, consultants, and advisors.
