Time to Bring out the Pink Hats for the 9th Annual LUNA Awards
Honoring Women in Construction, Architecture and Engineering
The Regional Hispanic Contractors Association will host the 9th Annual LUNA Awards Luncheon and Women’s Business Conference. The event will be held on Oct. 30, 2015 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. The awards will honor and recognize women in construction, architecture and engineering.
This year the Luna Aeards and Women's Business Conference will be even more exciting as we share the evening with Keynote Speaker Dr. Lois Frankel, President of Corporate Coaching International and best selling Author of "Nice Girls Just Don’t Get It", "See Jane Lead", "Stop Sabotaging Your Career" and "Nice Girls Don't Get The Corner Office".
The conference highlights training, industry awareness, networking, advocacy, and an awards ceremony. It is also intended to generate revenue to award scholarships to deserving young ladies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and surrounding mid-cities. Over $230,000 in scholarships were awarded since 2007. LUNA scholars major in construction and related fields attending large universities including: Texas A&M, Rice University, SMU and Texas Tech. These young women also participate in summer internships with minority and corporate contractors and businesses.
This year’s partners include: Greater Dallas- Fort Worth WTS Chapter, Dallas Women’s Foundation, NAWIC-Dallas Chapter, NAWIC- Fort Worth Chapter, and WCOE Dallas.
Attending only the conference seminars and expo is free to the general public and members.
